Wild boar shows soccer skills at island elementary school
A wild boar was spotted playing footie at an elementary school playground on Etajima in the early morning of March 10.
Police arrived at the scene about 15 minutes after receiving a call reporting that a board was on the grounds of Kirikushi Elementary School (Google Map) on the island of Etajima at around 6:30 am, but the boar had already left the pitch.
According to witnesses, the wild boar ran off into a field in a residential area. Police patrolled the area as children were arriving at school, but there were no further sightings.
According to Kirikushi Elementary School, wild boars have been spotted on the school grounds since the beginning of this year, and the school is urging students to exercise caution.
