Part of Asa Zoo Closed Again After Bear Sighting

Part of the grounds of Asa Zoo have been closed to the public after security cameras captured footage of a black bear in the area in teh early hours of June 4.

As the bear was spotted in the early hours of the morning, outside of opening hours, Asa Zoo decided that safety could be ensured by conducting patrols before and during opening hours. Although a portion of the west garden will be closed, visitors will continue to be able to view the animals on display.

The west garden was completely closed last year for about six months last year, after a similar bear sighting in June.
