Hiroden Cafe in Tokyu Hands

For a few weeks this autumn, Hands Cafe in the Tokyu Hands department store has been all about Hiroshima’s trams.

Seating in the cafe has been “wrapped” to make it look like you are sat inside one of the city’s streetcars. There are some nice touches, like each table having its own miniature tram stop sign, all with different names and paper ads and straps hanging from the ceilings. We had to try the “Hiroden Parfait” which comes with matcha flovored cake pieces, ice-cream, sweet red bean paste and, of course, cornflakes.
