Miyajima Celebratory Fireworks

Miyajima’s massive summer fireworks festival may be a thing of the past, but slimmed down displays to commemorate the completion of the great shrine gate’s major restoration and the emergence from the worst (?) of the pandemic will be held on three evenings in January 2023.

Each show starts at 6pm and will have around 300 blasts over a period of about 5 minutes.

A night market with food and craft stall will open open until around 8pm in the area next to the ferry port and some places on the Omotesando shopping street will have extended opening.
