Roman Cafe Jr
Small cafe attached to Junkudo bookstore on the 10th floor of the Yale Yale/Fukuya department store building opposite Hiroshima JR Station. The espresso drinks are of very high quality and there are great views from the large windows.
Roman Cafe JR is a small branch of the excellent Roman Coffee in Onomichi. Roman source their coffee beans from the Cerrado region in Brazil’s central highlands, known for being rich, smooth, low in acidity and aromatic. They have a “proper” cafe on the 6th floor of the same building, but this little is nice, relaxed and very well lit with natural light thanks to the big windows. The menu is limited, but they have a great espresso machine and the staff have been shown how to draw a great shot from it and consistently produce some of the best cappuccino in the city.
