Free screening of Hiroshima Carp’s Climax Series vs Hanshin at Mazda Stadium
The Hiroshima Carp have a tough road ahead of them to make it to the Japan Series of baseball, having to play all their Climax Series games away from home. Local fans will, however, be able to enjoy the game and create their own atmosphere, as well as be surrounded by thousands of fellow Carp lovers to embrace or commiserate in their home stadium.
It has been announced that the first stage of the Climax Series, against Osaka’s Hanshin Tigers, will be screened at Mazda Stadium. The series starts on October 12 and runs until October 14 (or until one team win s two games) and all games will be broadcast live on Mazda Stadium’s back screen.
UPDATE: All tickets for the screenings at Mazda Stadium disappeared by 4pm October 9. The games on October 12 and 13 will be shown on the big screen in front of Pacela Shopping Center. Molly Malone’s will be showing all the games and Kemby’s will open early.
On game days the gates will open one hour before games start (13:00 open, 14:00 start) and 1st and 2nd floor infield seating as well as the infield concourse will be open, as will the concessions selling food and drink.
Numbers are limited to 12,000 a game and there is likely to considerable demand, so it is a good idea to get down to the stadium well ahead of 1 o’clock on October 9 when the tickets will be made available at the stadium and other locations (limited to 10 tickets per person).
