Le Ly Hayslip is a Vietnamese-American memoirist and humanitarian upon whose life. ICAN Nobel Peace Prize Candle Commemoration

People will gather across the river from the A-bomb Dome and light candles in on the eve of the awarding of this year's Nobel Peace Prize to the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (ICAN). The first candle will be lit at 18:00 and the event will run until 20:00.

This "art action", held every year since 2013, aims to "transform the target" by focusing on the perspective of the people in Hiroshima's city center who were going about the daily morning activities on August 6, 1945 assembling volunteers on the "T-bridge" which served as the target at which the crew of the Eleanor Gay aimed. A Summer Evening of Prayer & Peace
