This highly political 1953 film, directed by Hideo Sekigawa, was funded by the Japan Teachers Union and is split between Hiroshima 8 years after the A-bombing and the days immediately after it. The film stars Eiji Okada, ten years before his role in Hiroshima Mon Amor. This is an extremely rare opportunity to see the film with English subtitles in Japan at boutiue cinema Hatchoza in downtown Hiroshima. The 115min film is screened daily at 16:40.
