MCAS Iwakuni US Marine base opens up its gates to thousands of visitors who come for the entertainment, games, aerial and static displays, car and motorbike show and one of Japan’s largest air shows. And, of course, the food.

All visitors have to pass through a security screening checkpoint prior to entry which includes a bag check (see a list of items that will not be allowed inside here). Please refrain from bringing oversized bags/containers.
Only authorized service dogs are allowed in the venue. Any other pets are prohibited.
The station reserves the right to deny entry to anyone for any reason. Guests in military or law enforcement (costume) attire may be refused access.
Valid I.D.s:
JAPANESE VISITORS
Passport, driver’s license, My Number Card, as well as any other government-issued ID with a photo, full name, date of birth, gender and address.
Children under the age of 12 will not need to provide identification, however, they will be required to be accompanied by an adult.
Teenagers (13 yrs to 19 yrs) are required to bring their student ID or My Number Card to verify their age. We are aware that this is an unusual step to ask of our host nation residents, but we are equally sure they will understand the importance of security at this event.
Teenagers with ID can accompany children under 12yrs.
NON-JAPANESE VISITORS
Admission through the West Gate only.
Passport or residence card (zairyu card).
Getting to Friendship Day
There is no public parking at the event site and use of public transportation is highly encouraged. You can pay a small fee to take a shuttle bus from Iwakuni JR Station to the venue.
