Cherry Blossom Viewing at the Japan Mint
April 7 @ 10:00 am - April 11 @ 8:00 pm
FreeEvery year, the Hiroshima branch of the Japan Mint in Itsukaichi opens up its grounds to the public to enjoy the 64 varieties of cherry blossoms while they are at full bloom.
The blossoms tend of come into full bloom later than those in Hiroshima city center, so although you wont find the party atmosphere of peak hanami season (food and drink is not allowed in the grounds), it is a good place to catch the blooms if you have missed them elsewhere, or if you just want a second helping.
The grounds are open to the public April 5-11 and the gates are open from 10am until 8pm with the blossoms illuminated after dark (visitors are asked to enter before 7:30pm).

There is no parking near the Mint so visitors are advised to use public transport. The nearest stations are Itsukaichi JR Station or Itsukaichi and Rakuraku-en streetcar stops.
