Miyajima Kangensai Boat Festival

The Kangensai is Itsukushima Shrine on Miyajima’s biggest and most elaborate festival of the year. Elaborately decorated boats leave the shrine in the afternoon and, after making rounds of several coastal shrines, return late at night.
