Setouchi Triennale 2025 (Spring)

​The spring installment of the 2025 Setouchi Triennale, one of Japan’s premier contemporary art festivals, starts on April 18, 2025, and runs until May 25, 2025.

Held every three years, this event transforms the islands and coastal towns of the Seto Inland Sea into a vibrant canvas for artistic expression. This sixth edition marks a significant expansion, featuring 17 locations, including new additions like Shido, Tsuda, Hiketa, and Utazu, alongside renowned art destinations such as Naoshima, Teshima, and Shodoshima.​

Setouchi Triennale Ticket Information

To fully experience the Triennale, visitors can purchase a Triennale Passport, which grants one-time access to each artwork and facility. There are two types of passports: the All Season Passport, valid throughout the entire festival, and the Single Season Passport, valid for one of the three sessions. Advance discounted prices are available until April 17, 2025. Children aged 15 and under can view artworks for free.​ See details and prices here.

Passports can be purchased through the official festival app, at travel agencies, convenience stores, and various ticket outlets. Digital passports are available via the event app, while physical passports can be obtained by exchanging vouchers at information centers set up at each port during the festival period.​
