Night Safari at Asa Zoo

A chance to see the nocturnal animals in action and to escape to the relative cool of the Asa highlands. The “night safari” is only held 8 nights a year, and it is always popular with families and dating couples.

There is plenty of debate as to just how bad a zoo Asa Zoo is. It seems to us that although the confined spaces in which many of the animals are kept (especially the big cats) are disgraceful, on the whole, as zoos go, the conditions are relatively good.

Hopefully some of the obvious delight of the kids that visit will translate into long term conservationist thinking and a respect for animals.

The zoo is open until 20:00 (final admission at 19:30).
