The previous year’s shrine good and new year amulets go up in flames on the banks of the Nishiki River with Kintai Bridge as a spectacular backdrop.
Shinto ceremony kicks things off at 1pm and volunteers will be handing up zenzai sweetbean stew to keep your warrm.
