Teams from all 47 prefectures battle it out in this annual 48km road relay. The out-and-back course starts and finishes at Hiroshima Peace Park, turning around near at Maezora Station just past the ferry port at Miyajima-guchi.
The start and finish is on Peace Boulevard in front of Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park where large crowds congregate to cheer on the runners. A big screen is set up inside the park (near the International Conference Center).
