Hiroshima Before 1945 Photo Exihibition

Around 30 photographs taken in Hiroshima before the war and in the years (and in some cases days) before the A-bomb attack on display in the Former Bank of Japan Building which survived the A-bomb attack.
The photos include scenes depicting daily life, including in the bustling streets of Nakajima-cho, which crisscrossed the area where the Peace Memorial Park now stands. Several images have been colorized as part of the Rebooting Hiroshima project.
There are no English captions, but Google Translate image capture and translation works well as is well worth the effort to learn the stories behind these photos.
