Cycling Shimanami 2024

A rare opportunity to ride Japan’s Shimanami Kaido on the highway which will be closed to traffic in this biennial event.
A total of 7,000 cyclists will be able to take part in 8 different events run on courses ranging from 30km to 140km in length.
The event is very likely to sell out and most people will hope they get a spot in a lottery. The highly motivated, however, can opt for a limited number of early bird premium entries (which include some extra goodies such as local products and a special cycling jersey). Standard entries are ¥12,000-¥22,00 and premium entries run at ¥37,000 – ¥47,000.
