Miyajima Park & Ride Golden Week 2015
At peak times, traffic into Miyajima-guchi to take the ferry can get really backed up both along Route 2 and from the Sanyo expressway, and Golden Week is definitely one of those times. If you are planning to head to Miyajima during the holiday next week and must take the car or don’t want to dodge the daytime traffic by just hitting the Shima-akari illuminations after dark, Hatsukaichi city has set up a few park and ride options using either the local train, streetcar or shuttle bus.
