Miyajima Tondo Festival

The mound of New Year decorations and previous year’s good luck amulets to be set aflame at Miyajima’s seaside Tondo Festival may not be quite as impressive as the carefully constructed (and plastic free) bonfires at many other locations in the area, but it’s hard to beat that backdrop.
