Windcheater album rush

Just in time to miss the Christmas stocking stuffing season, come two offerings by Hiroshima based electronic music producer, DJ and Cover lover, Windcheater.

The first is a DJ mix which you can buy in good old traditional optical digital audio disc form at bars and shops around and about Hiroshima town for ¥1500. If that sounds expensive, think of it less as buying a CD and more like being a 21st century patron of the electronical arts.

Go down to to Cover most weekends or pop into Molly Malone’s during a Brighton or Liverpool match and you can probably get him to sign it for you!

Stay Up All Night mixed by Windcheater and put out by Market Recordings is on sale over the counter at Purple Tongue, Cover, Jimo, Tama Head Salon, Maps, Routine, Cocoon, Cafe Jamaica and Lotus.

Second is Windcheater’s first ever full-length album, which is originally named Windcheater. This one is in purely digital form, featuring 10 original tracks and out on Magnatune which, if you don’t know, is worth taking a look at. For USD15 a month you get access to all their music and unlimited downloads. They seem to be trying very hard not to be evil and you can try out the service for free for week. If that’s too much bother you can listen to a stream of the album below.

If these sounds float your boat keep an eye on Windcheater’s website or like his Facebook Page for news of DJ dates and new music.
