DESCRIPTION:An inclusive\, free community skate park is located at the Flower Festival\, situated right behind the main Carnation Stage\, next to the river at the west end of Heiwa Bridge\, offering far less generic music than the usual Flower Festival fare. \n \nShow up early in the day if you’d like your kids to have a crack at skating before the big kids take over. \nLive bands and DJs throughout the day. \nSkateboard competition on May 5. \nYou can read a nice account by an itinerant Canadian skater who stumbled upon the park back in 2009 here (Part 1) and here (Part 2). \n
