Mt. Joudoji Hiking and Tondo Festival in Onomichi City

this Onomichi outing – easily accessible by train
Location: Mt. Joudoji (178m), and Sanba primary school, Onomichi City
Challenge level: Relatively Easy – Low mountain, but relatively long walk
Meeting Place & Time: 9:40 a.m. at JR Onomichi Station
Transportation: By JR or highway bus. By car will also be good if you share a ride.
[JR] If you take the 8:12 train bound for Itozaki at the JR Hiroshima station and change trains at Mihara, you will arrive at Onomichi station at 9:39. It costs 1,450 yen one way from Hiroshima station.
[Bus] Take 8:05 highway bus bound for Onomichi Station from Hiroshima Bus Center, and the bus will arrive at Onomichi Station at 9:38. The fee is 1,700 yen one way, and 2,900 yen for a round trip if purchased in advance.
[By car] Toll parking is available around the JR station. Since there may be traffic congestion in central Onomichi, please allow enough time for arrival.
Participation Fee: Free of charge. Please remember that the organizer of this hike will not insure the participants of the outing against accidental injuries.
