Miyoshi’s cherry blossom festival runs from March 25-April 9, but the main event is on Sunday, April 2 this year. Held under and among the 1000 or so cherry trees in Ozekiyama-koen Park and alongside the Gonokawa River near Miyoshi’s historical district, it is a very pretty, pretty local affair with stalls selling food and nik naks as well as stage performances which include children’s kagura dance.
The cherry blossoms are illuminated 18:00-22:00
