Family-Fun: Halloween Party in the Park
October 27, 2013 @ 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Halloween fun for all the family at Senda park this year on the last Sunday of October from 1pm~6pm. Halloween is always great family fun, but also a great opportunity to give back & help kids in less fortunate situations. Please bring a donation for UNICEF and drop it in the Halloween Hope for Happiness Jar (Recommended donation: 1,000 yen per child), 100% of all donations will be passed on to the staff at Hiroshima’s UNICEF office.
- 1pm~ Share your spooky snacks and treats with everyone at the potluck (we will start setting up around noon) Please bring a tent for shade if you have it, folding tables and a picnic mat. Also, if possible, please bring your own plates, cups and cutlery to use *to make this a minimum garbage event.
- 2pm~ Games and Costumed fun
- 5pm~ Trick-or-Treating around the park (bring your flashlights & goody bags kids!)
If you would like to help out in any way- for example: running a game, reading a Halloween story, setting up a coloring or arts & crafts area, face-painting, passing out candy, donating prizes or doing anything at the party to help, wow- thank you! We look forward to hearing from you: [email protected]
What to bring?
Your kids in costume (hee hee as if you would forget them!), 1 bag of wrapped sweets or snacks to add to the trick-or-treating supply, donation to UNICEF, tables (if you can help add to the potluck buffet table train), chairs, mats, a plate or two of snacks or sweets to share for the potluck , bags for collecting candy, wet wipes (yes some games are sticky/messy), flashlights for trick-or-treating (it may get dark), umbrellas and rain gear (we will go ahead if it rains lightly, but cancel for heavy rain).
