Hiroshima's annual Fire-Engine Sketching Contest is a great family day out in the park with the chance to get up close to a dozen or more assorted fire-engines, ambulances and rescue vehicles including a rescue helicopter. You can climb on some of them (08:30-09:00) and even try on a firefighter suit. Paper is provided, but participants should bring their own paints, felt-tips or crayons.
