Cockneys vs Zombies

Cockneys vs ZombiesI like my zombie tales straight up and serious – well they more convincing that way, right? When done well, however, zombie comedies can be great fun. It would be a tall order to top the cult classic Shaun Of The Dead, but it looks like Cockneys vs Zombies, which also comes out of the UK, gives it a good go.

It is in more of a Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels style than the understated Shaun, and includes plenty of colorful language, fountains of blood, as well as dry British humor. Plus, there are some great characters among the geriatric group of zombie killers.

Cockneys vs Zombies is only on for a week, but could definitely be one to enjoy after work with a few beers in Salon Cinema’s comfy seats.
