Paper Lanterns Screening

UNITAR Hiroshima Office and the United Nations Regional Centre for Peace and Disarmament in Asia and the Pacific are holding a screening of the documentary Paper Lanterns in the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum’s Memorial Hall.
Paper Lanterns is about hibakusha and historian Shigeaki Mori and his search for the families of American prisoners of war killed in the atomic bombing of Hiroshima. The screening will also feature Mr. Mori as a special guest speaker and include remarks from United Nations Under-Secretary-General of Disarmament Affairs Izumi Nakamitsu and UNITAR Hiroshima Office Head Mihoko Kumamoto.
No prior registration for the event is necessary.
The film has English subtitles.
