Grandchildren of Hiroshima
August 6, 2015
This year-long oral history and performance project, rooted in interviews between survivors of the Atomic bomb and children in Hiroshima, culminates in an inter-generational, community performance in Hiroshima this week.
The performances will be in Japanese, but English scripts will be available and can be downloaded from here. Co-director Marigold Hughes says of the show, “It is a strongly physical and visual piece – so an understanding of what we’re doing, won’t necessarily be based on an understanding of Japanese.” Learn more about this fascinating project in the video below or on the project website.
